Vijay Devarakonda, who acted as an actor, has named his Tamil drama. Let the political thriller hit the screens today and let's see if it meets expectations.
Story:
Varun (Vijay Devarakonda) is a spoiled brat who is not interested in political life with his corrupt father (Nasser). To his shock, his father makes him the chief minister for a temporary period. In the beginning, Varun takes things in a crazy note but a small incident changes his mind and he will obey his dad's unwilling job. How does Varun fight with his father and will eventually become Chief Minister of the state.
Plus points:
Vijay Devarakonda is the biggest asset of the film, giving him the freshness of this simple political thriller for his simple performance. Vijay has performed his sequences simple, as well as the star hero who has done well and played his role.
These include a strongly supported cast of political thrillers and NOTA in that department. As Nasser has a lot of weight for his role, the top class is the best politician. Sathyaraj is playing a key role.
The film has some realistic political scenes in Tamil Nadu politics and they are very strong. The characters persuade the entire political establishment that has been kept.
Minus Points:
Vijay fans are just as disappointed as the expectation from their star hero and heroism is missing in the film. Makers had a good chance to show Vijay even aggressively, but lost on it. Mehren's character is out of place and frustrated. Nasser and Satyaraj's flashback did not add any weight.
Another big disadvantage is the story. The film seems to have been a success for the hero. It is good to be new to his debut film. Such stories have been previously produced in films like Nair and Bharat Anne Nenu.
The political game for Telugu audience and the twists like this can be seen as a movie. This is where the second half is not that gripping and the picture goes down. Vijay went against his father and made a decision to deal with the corrupt head, more efficient manner.
Technical Features:
Css Sam's music was really disappointing but the background score was gripped. The values set by the Studio Green are set up by the political set-up and the CM's greatness and his surroundings are the top notch that the cameraman has performed well. Editing is good and dialogues.
Director Anand Shankar is coming to work, he has done a job with the movie. His inability to portray the role of political thriller was apparently clear, and in the latter half he could not tell the active actors. Vijay performed well and made his debut in Tamil acting.
Verdict:
Overall, NOTA is a common political drama that has seen many Telugu viewers. Vijay Devarakonda runs from before but the story and inquiries are fantastic and do not support him too much. However, the film will be a good launch pad for Vijay in Tamil and preferred by the audience, who are positively like tastes, responses and satirers. But for the Telugu audience this movie ends with the average fare and the only shot to see Vijay in a new avatar.
